“Every day, we have a choice on how to show up. In a world with so many irrational indiscriminate acts of hate, may we choose irrational indiscriminate acts of love?” Senator Cory Booker

Kindness, generosity, and grace are more powerful than selfishness, meanness, and spite. It is a fact that we are not equal socio-economically. Some will fare better than others. It is also true that some will need a push, a nudge, and a helping hand. You will be amazed at how acts of kindness can positively change the lives of others. Sometimes, the smallest of acts can have the most significant impact. This is why I called on a few of my friends and family to create a non-profit charitable foundation called “EVERY LITTLE BIT COUNTS.” (“ELBC”) Our organization, driven by the belief that we are our brother’s keepers, has made a tangible difference in the lives of the vulnerable and needy population in impoverished and remote parts of Ghana. The impact of our work is not just a statistic but a testament to the power of collective action and compassion, inspiring hope and a brighter future.

Thanks to our benefactors and supporters, we have made strides in providing aid and assistance by giving hot meals, necessities such as provisions, toiletries, school items, toys, clothing, shoes, medical supplies, and medication to hospitals, orphanages, and schools in both Accra and a few villages in remote parts of Ghana. In 2020/2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana, ELBC provided hot meals to the frontline workers at the Kyebi Hospital along with books and toys to the Children’s Ward at Kyebi Hospital. Also, ELBC offered hot meals, books, toys, and necessities to the children at the Nectar Foundation, an Orphanage in Agomenya, Yilo Krobo, in 2020/2021.

During Breast Cancer Awareness month in October 2022, we collaborated with Embrace Your Breasts Organization to conduct a breast cancer screening event, whereby ELBC donated gift packs to all who attended. We presented a much-needed refrigerator for premature babies to the Kangaroo Mother Care Unit at the Ridge Hospital. In November of 2022, we supplied two Kindergarten schools with school supplies and necessities in Dzolo Gbogame, an impoverished town in the remote part of Ho, Volta Region. On December 24, 2022, in partnership with the Grateful Givers Foundation, we successfully organized a Christmas Party for the Children Wards at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where we managed to feed over 500 mothers and children with hot meals and donated Christmas gifts in packs to the mothers and children.

As you can see, we have endeavored to spread love and have impacted a few lives in the Eastern, Volta, and Greater Accra regions. While we already believe we have impacted these few lives, we know we still have much to accomplish. This year, we have decided to spread love and cheer to children in underprivileged communities and villages in the Northern Region of Ghana. Through our Northern Love Project, we will provide well-needed aid and assistance to the following schools: Loagri No. 1 K and Maligu Star Academy Schools in the Yagaba District, Kpachaa DA, and Kukuonayili DA Primary Schools located in significantly impoverished villages in the Northern, and Northeastern Region of Ghana, West Africa. ELBC will provide both schools with chairs and tables, plaster the walls, paint the classrooms, and install water tanks, among other tasks that may arise during our event.

The ELBC Foundation’s work is ongoing, and we rely on the support of generous individuals and businesses to continue making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. Every contribution, regardless of size, is a crucial part of our mission. The need for support is constant, and your involvement is urgently needed. I would be delighted to provide more information on how your company’s support can directly impact the lives of those we serve. Please get in touch with me at +233 550 820 233 if you have any questions. I also invite you to visit our website at www.elbcfoundation.com to see how your support can help us create a brighter future.

As I prepare for my upcoming trip to the North and Northeastern Region of Ghana, West Africa, I am filled with excitement! But that’s not all. I’ve connected with some truly exceptional individuals in Ghana, and I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be traveling to the North with one of them. I can see your curiosity piqued. Stay tuned for the next blog to find out more!
